On Tuesday, July 1st 2014, at 7.00 PM, the Romanian Radio Hall will host the anniversary concert performed by the Ministry of Defense Orchestra, who celebrates thusly 183 years of existence. The first military band was established in Iasi, on July 1st 1831, as part of the 'Straja Pământească' Army. Under the baton of conductor AUREL GHEORGHIŢĂ (lieutenant colonel) you will listen to three compositions signed by Enescu – Romanian Rhapsody No. 2, Jubilee Hymn and Prelude à l'Unisson – as well as to other well known compositions such the Ballad for Violin and Orchestra by Ciprian Porumbescu.
