Romanian Radio Academic Choir



The Academic Choir of the Romanian Radio-Broadcasting Company came into being seventy years ago, in 1940, under the baton of conductor and composer Ioan Croitoru. Over the course of the Choir's history, the conductor's podium has been occupied by Dumitru D. Botez, Gheorghe Danga, Dumitru D. Stancu, Constantin Petrovici, Emanuel Elenescu, Alexandru Sumski, Carol Litvin and Aurel Grigoras. Currently, the Academic Radio Choir is conducted by Dr Dan Mihai Goia.

CIPRIAN ŢUŢU - Conductor



Born in Brașov in 1979, conductor Ciprian Ţuţu graduated from the Faculty of Music of his native city (specialization in Music Pedagogy – Academic Choir Conducting, MA in Conducting Stylistics) under the guidance of Nicolae D. Bica (Choir Conducting) and Ludovic Bács (Vocal & Symphony Conducting) and Dan Buciu (Modern Methods of Musical Analysis). From 2006 to 2010 he attended the master classes undertaken by conductors Victor Dumănescu (Academy of Music, Cluj-Napoca), Octav Calleya (Malaga Superior Conservatory of Music) and Mihai Diaconescu (Bucharest University of Music).
