She is PhD in music of the National University of Music Bucharest, Romania, BA in music pedagogy - piano - George Enescu Music Conservatory Iasi, (George Enescu Academy of Arts), Department of Composition and Musicology,BA in Philosophy - University Babes-Bolyai Cluj-Napoca, Romania - Department of History and Philosophy. She has a Post-university degree in advertising at theUniversity of Bucharest – Department of Journalism and Communication Sciences and she followed a large number of training courses in Cultural Management & Marketing in Romania, France, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, etc.

Cristina Bărbulescu began specializing in the field of cultural events promotion at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, l'Institut de Communication. She benefited from a French Government scholarship and she obtained her master degree on cultural management at the “Université Paul Verlaine” (Metz). In 2011 she published in Paris her first volume: “European Opera Houses: Audiences and PR Strategies” (Harmattan, Paris, 2011).
